Privacy Policy
A plain-English explanation of what StudyToolset stores, what stays on your device, and when third-party services come into the picture.
The Short Version
Most of StudyToolset works entirely in your browser. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not use analytics trackers to profile your study behaviour.
Some features save data on your own device so they still work when you refresh the page. If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive the details you choose to send. If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense may also use cookies to show ads.
What Stays on Your Device
We use your browser's local storage for a small number of convenience features. That data is stored on your device, not in a StudyToolset account.
- Exam Countdown Timer saves your exam list so you do not have to re-enter it every time.
- Reading Speed Test saves your latest result and optional history so you can compare progress.
- Assignment Time Calculator can reuse your saved reading-speed estimate for quicker inputs.
- Cookie choice saves whether you accepted or declined advertising cookies.
You can remove that information at any time by clearing this site's storage or site data in your browser settings.
Contact Form and Email
If you email us directly or use the form on the contact page, we receive the information you send, such as your name, email address, and message contents.
The contact form is processed by FormSubmit, which forwards your message to our support inbox. We use these messages to reply to questions, review bug reports, and consider feature requests. We do not sell that information.
Cookies and Advertising
StudyToolset does not use first-party analytics cookies. The site uses local storage for core preferences, and optional advertising cookies may be used by Google AdSense if you choose to accept them.
When you first visit the site, we show a banner asking whether you want to allow advertising cookies. If you accept, the Google AdSense script is loaded and Google may use cookies or similar technologies in line with its own policies. If you decline, that ad script is not loaded from our cookie banner flow.
Ad Controls
You can manage advertising preferences using any of the following options:
- Google Ad Settings: https://myadcenter.google.com/
- Google partner-sites information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- DAA consumer choice tool: https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
- NAI opt-out page: https://optout.networkadvertising.org/
Third-Party Services We Use
We try to keep third-party services to a minimum. Right now, the main ones are:
- Google AdSense for ads, loaded only after an accepted ad-cookie choice.
- Google Fonts for site typography. Google's font service may receive standard request information such as your IP address. See Google Fonts privacy information.
- FormSubmit to process contact-form submissions and forward them to our email inbox.
Your Choices and Rights
You can decline ad cookies from the banner, change your browser settings, or clear this site's stored data later if you want to reset your choice.
If you sent us a support email or contact-form message and want us to delete it, contact us at support@studytoolset.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, delete, correct, or object to the use of personal information handled by us or by our service providers.
For advertising-related data handled by Google, Google's own privacy and ad settings tools are usually the fastest place to manage those preferences.
International Visitors
StudyToolset is available worldwide. Some third-party providers we use, such as Google and FormSubmit, may process data in countries different from your own, including the United States.
Children's Privacy
StudyToolset is built for students, but we do not knowingly try to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form or by email, contact us and we will review and delete it where appropriate.
Policy Updates
If this page changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date below and post the revised version here.
